Questionnaires as coaching tools

Strengthscope

You can choose to use the psychometric tool of Strengthscope in your coaching or as part of any supervision or training as an individual or team.
Identifying and developing your strengths is a powerful way of working on your strongest qualities in working towards your goals. Please discuss with Ceri or ask any questions about Strengthscope as part of your coaching or supervision package.
Ceri is a Strengthscope Master Practitioner and can include strengths questionnaires within a coaching conversation for individuals and for team development.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality questionnaire based on the theory of the psychologist Carl Jung. The MBTI can be a valuable tool when incorporated into and discussed within individual coaching, as well as in team coaching or training settings. The MBTI helps individuals understand how they perceive the world and make decisions. MBTI self-awareness can enhance communication, relationships, and team building.
Ceri is qualified as an MBTI practitioner and can include the questionnaire, along with personality feedback and development, in your session. Do ask Ceri for more information.
Mental Toughness
Mental toughness refers to how individuals handle stress, pressure, and obstacles. It can be a very useful tool for building resilience and understanding areas to explore and work on in coaching.
The MTQ48 is a helpful measure for assessing one's strengths and weaknesses and for considering ways to build mental toughness when facing significant challenges in life and work.
Ceri is trained as a practitioner with AQR for applying the MTQ48 for coaching and facilitating self-development. For further information, please contact Ceri.

Stefan Krok-Paszkowski - Directorate of Clinical Education
"I was an ambitious NHS middle manager, reasonably competent, but not always self-aware. This course changed that. It introduced me to MBTI – I’ve since gone on to train as an MBTI Facilitator.
Dr Ceri Sims, with real patience and insight, showed me how to communicate more clearly and openly – I learned how to shape better conversations and drive meaningful change.
The project element of the programme held me to account. I took on a challenge to overhaul the simulation service at our Trust. What had been running at a £30,000 annual deficit became a service generating a £60,000 surplus. That turnaround would not have been possible without the skills I gained on this course.
Dr Sims ..was always calm, always thoughtful, and quietly persistent in helping me move forward. I couldn’t recommend Dr Sims more highly. The Leadership in Action programme was a turning point in my career – and in my development as a person"

"I was very lucky to have four strength-based coaching sessions with Ceri, which included use of the Strengthscope tool. I found both the tool and Ceri’s approach were highly impactful from the start and hugely important to contribute to my self-awareness and also to understand how to better value my strengths and deploy with intention.
Ceri encouraged me to undertake a Reflected Best Self exercise, which involved using feedback from trusted others to help me write a self portrait. This was immensely useful and developmental in the moment, but crucially it remains part of how I see myself now. I would highly recommend Ceri as a coach and I benefitted enormously from her style, encouragement and challenge. be added shortly"
